DWRA is celebrating 22 years!

Detroit Waterfront Rowing Association is a 501(c)3 non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting the sport of rowing in Detroit. We educate and train athletes in sculling.

DWRA is located on the grounds of the historic Lawrence Fisher estate. Club members row on the Detroit River, Lake St. Clair and a network of scenic, protected canals.

Coaches

DWRA coaches are USRowing Certified with years of experience behind them, which means you’re training in correct form and building essential skills for continued development.

Renee I. Adams

Certified USRowing Coach, III

Renee discovered rowing as an adult. Her training began with coaching conferences in Canada and the United States where she earned Level III certification. Learning from high performance coaches during her international travels has been her greatest asset. She’s been training athletes for over 21 years now, and continues to build great rowers at any age.
