DWRA FALL Youth/Masters Competitive Racing


DWRA 2018 FALL Sculling & Sweep Competitive Training  

September 7 - October 15

minimum 8+ participants

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 5 - 6:30pm

Friday 5am-6:30am (showers at the boathouse)

Wednesday- 60 min-90 min cross train on your own

Saturdays 7-9AM

Sunday Day off

This program will focus on power application & technical skill development leading up to a home regatta & celebration around Halloween with all programs.

Athletes in this program should either have 2 years of rowing experience, or after a skill assessment by coaches placing them into the program. Specific skills include: Navigation, steering, bowing, comprehension of commands & basic drills, power application and speed.



Saturday September 12 Head of the Welland Regatta, Welland, Canada

Saturday October 12 Grand Rapids Fall Classic Regatta


Additional regattas (not included in iprogram fee

TBD October 19 & 20  Head of the Charles 

TBD November 2 & 3  Head of the Hooch, Chattanooga TN

Fee: $900 

* includes certified coaches, equipment, program expenses and regatta fees including race entry and equipment transport

** not included are athlete travel, food and accommodation costs


Team Gear (additional cost): 

Youth: $ Unisuit, long sleeve and hat or visor required for all athletes

Masters: $ Unitank, long sleeve, hat or visor

**All rowers must have a personal life jacket, whistle and lights.
